Tableau
  • "Tableau is a data visualization tool created by Tableau Software. Tableau¬†connects easily to several data sources, and allows for rapid insight by transforming data into dashboards that look amazing and are also interactive."
  • As KoalaBrain exposes a REST API, Tableau can be used to pull data from it
  • This can be done via KoalaBrain Online's API passthrough, or you can proxy your endpoints via your own means
  • The Tableau functionality for this is referred to as "Web Data Connector" and is documented extensively on their website
JsReport
  • "jsreport is an open source reporting platform where reports are designed using popular javascript templating engines."
  • As KoalaBrain exposes a REST API, jsreport can be used to pull data from it
  • This can be done via KoalaBrain Online's API passthrough, or you can proxy your endpoints via your own means
  • This stack overflow article describes one method for pulling data from an API into jsreport
Metabase
  • "Metabase is the easy, open source way for everyone in your company to ask questions and learn from data."
  • Metabase is able to connect directly to the sqlite database of KoalaBrain locally to query and report on data
  • Metabase should not write to your sqlite database. ¬†However, it may be preferable to link it to a copy of your database rather than the production version as a precaution.
